Zigolini – Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt – Red Sea.

Zigolini’s is situated in the Jolie Ville Maritim restaurant in Naama Bay. The restaurant it’s self commands an excellent position on the second floor at the end of the main Naama promenade.

It is the perfect place to ponder and people watch. You can choose to dine inside or on two separate terraces – we got the prime position, sitting on the terrace overlooking the promenade.

The service is excellent and friendly, within minutes we were seated at our table, given the menu and water while we perused the deliciously described items. There are many of the classic Italian dishes but also some mouth-watering twists on the standard. There really is so much to choose from, with a variety which fits all tastes as well as pockets.

For the starter we chose beef carpacio – which was excellent. Paper thin slices of raw beef drizzled with olive oil and the Zigolini salad – which was very impressive with plenty of greens including asparagus tips, fresh mushrooms, corn and topped with king prawns. The salad was actually big enough to share and a nice light start to the meal.

For the main course it was very difficult to choose as there are so many mouth-watering dishes. There are fantastic beef, chicken, and lamb dishes, plus pasta risotto, pizza, and seafood. We both choose the fish parcel of salmon, fish, calamari, and king prawns cooked in a foil in white wine and herbs served with sautéed vegetables. It was delicious; a delicate balance of all the flavors.

Zigolini’s is a great place for a special occasion with a menu and ambiance to fit.
